The American Quilter's Society is dedicated to promoting today's quilter.

Fiber Artists @ Loose Ends -- is dedicated to encourage members to explore new ideas and techniques and to inspire and nurture creativity. 

Healing Quilts in Medicine -- Art Quilt project founded by Judy House. 

The International Quilt Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the art of quilting, the attainment of public recognition for quilting as an art form, and the advancement of the state of the art throughout the world.

Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt through education, exhibitions, professional development and documentation.


Other Quilters

Lisa Ellis specializes in art quilts of spiritual and religious themes. She is passionate about making pieces for healing and using art to make the world a better place. She developed ArtCall, the on-line system for exhibit registration, jurying and administration, and she is the co-chair of the Sacred Threads Exhibition which is moving to DC in 2011.

Paula Golden Selected as the “Quilt Teacher of the Year” by The Professional Quilter Magazine, Paula is a co-author of “Quilts of Virginia:  Birth of America Through the Eye of a Needle. She offers a wide variety of workshops and presentations and is certified in administering the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Mary Kerr Quilts, teaches, lectures, and is certified by the American Quilt Society to appraise quilts. Mary is the author of "A Quilt Block Challenge: Vintage Revisited," and offers a variety of workshops and lectures addressing what to do with vintage quilts and textiles.

Kathy Lincoln Lectures and teaches workshops specializing in quick piecing techniques, free-motion quilting, and quilt designing. In My Shade Garden, an appliqué quilt masterfully created on a pieced background, appeared in Quilters Newsletter Magazine.
